Contributions

Here you can practical information about how to prepare your oral workshop presentation and your contribution to the CKM 2014 proceedings.

How to prepare your oral presentation

Oral contributions are limited to the time assigned in the agenda, which includes questions. Authors are requested to submit their contributions directly to the indico agenda page.

Acceptable formats for your talk slides are:

  • Acrobat (PDF)
  • Power Point (ppt or pptx)

There is no support for other formats.

Please upload your talk at the latest on the evening before the relevant session. The talks are displayed from dedicated conference laptops running Windows 7 with standard fonts. Other laptops are not allowed. If you use non-standard fonts, please use the PDF format as it embeds fonts, otherwise we cannot guarantee correct display of your presentation. If in doubt, please check with the organizers before your presentation.

If you cannot upload your talk to Indico, please provide your presentation to your working group conveners well in advance of your scheduled presentation.

How to prepare your proceedings contribution

The proceedings of CKM2014 will be published in Eprint format.

Both plenary session (opening and summary sessions) and working group speakers are invited to contribute to the proceedings but contributions from parallel session speakers are considered optional, i.e., we will proceed with the publication of the proceedings even if contributions from parallel speakers are not received in time.

Proceedings are only meaningful if prepared shortly after the event. We thus set a deadline by November 15, 2014 for all contributions to the proceedings.

Manuscript preparation

Eprint templates:

On the title page, please include the text: Presented at the 8th International Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle (CKM 2014), Vienna, Austria, September 8-12, 2014

Page guideline

There is no hard page limit but parallel session speakers should limit the length of their writeup to 3-5 pages. Plenary speakers should plan their write-ups for 5-10 pages.

Upload to arXiv

We foresee no review of the individual contributions -- embarrassing mistakes are thus entirely your own.

All contributions to the proceedings must be submitted to the eprint arXiv (http://arXiv.org) by the authors. For first time users, general submission help is available here. When uploading to the arXiv, please include the following text in the "Comments" field: Proceedings of the 8th International Workshop on the CKM Unitarity Triangle (CKM 2014), Vienna, Austria, September 8-12, 2014

Important: After submitting, please inform ckm2014(at)hephy.at of the arXiv identifier (e.g., arXiv:1409.1234), so that we can properly link your contribution.
